Dănuț Andrușcă: Law on mines ready, law on mineral waters finalized these days

The Law on mines is ready, the one regarding mineral waters will be finalized these days, and the royalties amount pertaining to those resources will be determined by specific laws, stated on Monday Dănuţ Andruşcă, minister of economy.

He also indicated that a reunion of the workgroup for the finalization of the draft law on mineral waters is scheduled for this week; this draft law, together with the Law on mines must go through the endorsement and approval stages at the same time.

Romgaz: Gas prices go up this winter

Natural gas will be more expensive this winter because the oil price grew significantly over the past period, stated on Monday Vasile Ciolpan, manager of the Energy Trading Department within Romgaz. „As oil quotation is seen today, the gas will also be more expensive in the winter.

The structure of the gas to be used this winter consists of the gas from the current production, plus the depot gases, plus imports for the peak consumption periods, such imports existing every winter depending on the temperatures and on the request” said Ciolpan during a conference on energy topics.

Gheorghe (ACROPO): Black Sea oil operators to work with Romanian companies

The oil companies operating in the Black Sea must work with Romanian companies which, even though they do not currently hold deepwater drilling equipment, they may procure it in the future, stated on Tuesday, Gheorghe Constantin, chair of the Competent Authority for the Regulation of Black Sea Offshore Oil Operations (ACROPO).

During a conference on energy topics, he was asked whether the final form of the Law on the offshore oil activity maintained the obligation of the investors to work with Romanian companies.
