Fondul Proprietatea: Capping gas price is illegal and jeopardizes Romania’s energy independence

Gas price capping is a measure that contravenes romanian and european legislation and, at the same time, jeopardizes Romania’s energy investments and independence, a statement released by Fondul Proprietatea for Agerpres on friday .

Fondul Proprietatea expressed its „major concern” about the Government’s intention to cap natural gas prices from domestic production to about 70% of the current market price, as evidenced by a draft Government Decision recently published by the Ministry of Public Finance.

US Ambassador: Parliament adopted the Offshore Law in violation of all principles of transparency and negotiation
