The social democrats presidential candidate could be decided after the European Parliament elections, according to the former deputy prime minister Paul Stanescu. On the other hand, Stănescu commented on the registration of Senator Adrian Ţuţuianu in Pro Romania, arguing that it was „a big mistake” that he was excluded from the PSD, especially in the context of the future elections.

EFET: GEO 114 impact is undesirableThe European Federation of Energy Traders (EFET) asks the Romanian Government to urgently suspend the application of 2% ANRE tax on the turnover of energy companies, introduced this year through GEO no. 114/2018. The organization has more than 100 companies with energy trading activities in more than 28 European countries, leading the largest names in the industry, such as Enel, Engie, E.ON, CEZ, EDF, Eni, OMV, Gazprom or Repsol, or commodity trading divisions of major international financial institutions such as Goldman Sachs, Citi, Allianz or Societe Generale. The only Romanian company in the Federation with associate status is Romgaz.

Transgaz and EIB signed the 100m-euro loan agreement for the Tuzla-Podişor pipeline The European Investment Bank (EIB) has provided EUR 150 million to finance a new 308.2 km long pipeline linking Romania’s natural gas resources from the Black Sea coast to both the national gas transmission network and the the BRUA corridor (Tuzla – Podişor pipeline), thus connecting the natural gas transmission systems in South Eastern Europe, Central Europe and Western Europe.
