European Commissioner Miguel Arias Cañete urged the Ministry of Energy to demonstrate that Romanian energy legislation is compatible with the European one

The request appears in a letter sent by European Commissioner to Minister of  Energy – Anton Anton. Cañete is worried about some provisions in national legislation that would affect the Romanian electricity and gas market. The letter was sent at the end of November 2018, before the Government approved the 114/2018 emergency ordinance on over-charging companies with 2% of turnover, capping gas prices to 68 lei / MWh and removing households from free electricity market. Basically, Cañete’s concerns were related to previous legislation. This now affects the electricity and natural gas market further

(MPF) Teodorovici: We need to be more pragmatic at European level

The European Union must be pragmatic in the discussions in the European Parliament on the freezing of EU funds for countries violating the rule of law, as it competes with other powers of the world that „do not wait for issues that lie to one another or others” said Minister of Public Finance Eugen Teodorovici.”There is room for a much broader discussion, criteria need to be established, a mechanism to be laid down in detail. BSOG receives favorable notification from ACROPO

The Competent Authority for Regulation of Offshore Oil Offshore Oil Operations (ACROPO) has completed the evaluation of the documentation for the Midia perimeter development project, a project by the Black Sea Oil & Gas Operator (BSOG) and has agreed to the project to go further , according to a press release from the institution.
