European Commissioner Miguel Arias Cañete urged the Ministry of Energy to demonstrate that Romanian energy legislation is compatible with the European one
The request appears in a letter sent by European Commissioner to Minister of Energy – Anton Anton. Basically, Cañete’s concerns were related to previous legislation. This now affects the electricity and natural gas market further

We are talking about the welfare of the European Union, we are talking about being in competition with other powers of the world. which we have to give to one or the other through the Parliament, the Commission, the Council, etc. No, we have to be more pragmatic at European level, we must really be competitors or, finally, in Romanian, to bother us or others, outside Europe. ”
