UDMR chairman Kelemen Hunor said he was disturbed by the „day to day” changes to the offshore law, saying there were no rational, financial rationale or reasons, so he asked to resign in the specialized committees. The UDMR leader says that from the Senate to the Chamber the law has been substantially amended with respect to deductibility and additional fees. He added that Black Sea gas resources could ensure Russia’s eagerness of independence for Romania and several Central European countries, and this is the reason for the „huge battle”.

The first term of appeal for Liviu Dragnea’s case was postponed to November 5

Magistrates of the Supreme Court decided on Monday to postpone the first term of appeal in Liviu Dragnea’s file for November 5 to allow some of the defendants, including the PSD leader, to hire lawyers, Mediafax said. Liviu Dragnea did not appear Monday morning at the Supreme Court. Instead, the Supreme Court of Cassation and Justice came up with several supporters but also with the PSD leader.
