CCR postpones by one month the debates on the Criminal Code

The Constitutional Court (CCR) has postponed the debates of the referrals filed against the amendments to the Criminal Code, Realitatea TV private broadcaster informs, quoting sources. The Constitutional Court was to discuss the unconstitutionality appeals filed by President Klaus Iohannis, by PNL, PMP, USR and by the High Court of Cassation and Justice (ICCJ – Supreme Court) regarding the amendments to the Criminal Code.

The average price of electricity on the stock market fell 33 percent in August compared to the previous month

The average price of electricity on the spot market of OPCOM was 242 lei / MWh in August this year, 33% higher than in July, and the trend continued to rise in the first part of September, according to data available on the website of the stock market operator. Compared to August 2017, the spot market price (or Next Day Market – DAM) was down 6%.

ANRE approved the reduction of regulated profitability rate for electricity distributors

The National Regulatory Authority for Energy (ANRE) on Monday approved an order that the regulated profitability rate for electricity distributors will be reduced to 5.66% as of January 1, 2019, from 7.7% as it stands. „The approved RRR to be applied starting January 1, 2019 is 5.66%, expressed in real terms, before tax,” reads ANRE.
