Romgaz wants vertical integration

The largest domestic gas producer, Romgaz, plans to develop on an integrated basis. Because things go astray to the construction of the Iernut thermal power plant, where natural gas is processed and „transformed” into electricity, Romgaz representatives announce that it is considering the possibility of building a similar center at Mintia (Deva). On the other hand, the possibility of higher gas processing and production of chemical fertilizers is also studied. Thus, Romgaz can become a vertically integrated company, and its activities will develop from exploration and production of natural gas, onshore and offshore, to the generation of electricity and the production of chemical fertilizers.

Romgaz and Lukoil will begin the next half-year drilling of the exploration-assessment well of the Trident perimeter in the Black Sea

Deputy General Manager of Romgaz, Dumitru Gheorghe Rotar, announced on Wednesday in Mediaş at a press conference that based on the partnership with Lukoil, probably the end of this year or the first half of next year will start drilling a probe exploration-evaluation in the Trident Black Sea perimeter.

ANRE modified the gas transmission network code
